Background This royal wildlife sanctuary was established in the year 1955, which later became a National Park in 1981. In between, Ranthambore National Park was also designated as a tiger Reserve in 1973. today, it covers over an area of 400 sq km. Fascinating Attractions Ranthambore National Park itself is a major tourist centre in the area which draws various adventure and wildlife lovers from all over the world. Apart from tiger, one can also spot leopards, striped hyenas, Indian wild boar, chinkara, jackals, Indian flying foxes, sloth bears, sambar deer, chital, nilgai, macaques and mongoose in the dense areas.
